Recipe 005: How to Set Up An A/B Test Tool On Your Website
Set up Google Optimize (the A/B testing tool) on your website, from scratch.
Some of these steps require you to be running either WordPress, Squarespace, or Shopify. If you aren’t, you will have to perform similar instructions on your own CMS.
A/B Testing allows you to make careful data-driven changes to your user experience. Google Optimize is free and integrates perfectly with your existing Google Analytics property.

Step 1 - Add Google Tag Manager to your Website
Outcome: Google Tag Manager is installed on your website.
Special instructions: You will only follow the SOP that applies to your specific platform (Wordpress, Shopify, or Squarespace).
Step 2 - Add Google Analytics to your website
Outcome: Google Analytics is perfectly configured and accurately reporting on your website’s traffic.

Step 3 - Set up Google Optimize on your website
Outcome: Your Google Optimize setup is running, tested, and ready for you to start experimenting.
