People Tell The Search Bar The Truth

Window shoppers are welcome to browse. We'd just rather you didn't pay for them. People often type what they want into a search bar more honestly than they'd say it out loud, so we bet on those moments, write the ad that answers them, and fold the rest.

Cost Per Customer Not cost per click.

The buyer's mind

What Happens In The Glance Before The Click

An ad gets a glance, not a read. In that glance your buyer runs a few very old mental shortcuts. We write for them.

  • Losses Feel Bigger

Loss aversion · Kahneman and Tversky, 1979

Losing something stings more than gaining the same thing pleases. So we name what your buyer is already losing today, like hours, deals or patience, and show the way out. No scare tactics.

  • The First Number Sticks

Anchoring · Tversky and Kahneman, 1974

The first number people see shapes how they judge the numbers after it. We choose which true number your ad leads with: a turnaround time, a customer count, a result you can prove.

  • Real Limits Only

Scarcity · Worchel, Lee and Adewole, 1975

In 1 study, the same cookies were rated more desirable from a jar of 2 than from a jar of 10. We use a deadline or a limit only when it's real. Fake countdown timers spend trust you'll need later.

  • Open A Loop

The information gap theory of curiosity · Loewenstein, 1994

People feel a pull to close the gap between what they know and what they want to know. A good ad opens a question that only the landing page answers, and the page answers it fast.

The machine's mind

The Highest Bid Doesn't Always Win

Google built its ad auction around the searcher's experience. So it weighs how relevant your ad is and how likely people are to respond, not only what you bid. That's the builders' psychology written into the rules: they reward the ad people actually want. We write for the searcher first. A more relevant ad can earn a better position for the same bid, or the same position for less.

  • Google Ads

Ad quality counts beside your bid, so a relevant ad can win more and pay less.

  • Meta

Its auction weighs how likely people are to act on your ad, so a better ad can beat a bigger bid.

  • LinkedIn

Its auction scores relevance too, so we write to the person behind the job title.

  • Reddit

Its ads run in the feed among regular posts, so we write ads that belong in the thread.

The indirect play

Sometimes The Winning Move Is To Fold

Plenty of accounts pay for clicks they'd get free, like people searching your company's own name who were coming anyway. When a huge online marketplace switched off ads on its own brand name, economists found almost all of that traffic still arrived through the free listing (Blake, Nosko and Tadelis, 2015). So before we spend more, we test spending less. If competitors bid on your name, the math changes, and we test that too.

AD FREE Visitors Still Come Fold

The best bet at the table is sometimes the 1 you don't place.

The playbook

How We Work The Table

  1. Read The Table

Who buys, what a customer is worth and what you can afford to pay to win 1, before a cent moves.

  2. Pick Your Hands

The searches and audiences worth paying for, and which to fold.

  3. Write For The Glance

Ads built on how people decide in a moment, with landing pages that finish the thought.

  4. Watch The Pot

Tracking that follows each click past the form, to the sale.

  5. Raise Or Fold

Every week, more behind what wins and less behind what doesn't.

The scoreboard

Count Your Chips When You Cash Out

Clicks are chips on the table. Customers are what you take home, so that's all we count.

  • Cost Per Customer

What each paying customer costs you in ad spend. Not per click, not per form.

  • Return On Ad Spend

Revenue earned against what the ads cost.

  • Qualified Pipeline

The sales opportunities paid ads created, as your sales team defines them.

  • Wasted Spend

The share of budget going to searches that never buy. Down is good.

Your day-to-day contact for the account, so a question about spend never waits for the next report.

Questions

Fair Questions, Straight Answers

What Is PPC Management?

Running your pay-per-click ads with 1 goal: more customers for what you spend. That covers what to bid on, the ads, the landing pages, the tracking, and moving money toward what works.

Which Ad Platforms Do You Run?

Google search, Meta, LinkedIn and Reddit, plus retargeting that follows up with people who already visited. We start where your buyers already are, and add the rest when the numbers say so.

Should We Bid On Our Own Company Name?

Test it before you decide. If competitors bid on your name, you may need to defend it. If they don't, you may be paying for clicks you'd get free. We run that test either way.

Why Are Our Clicks Up But Sales Flat?

Often because the account is tuned for clicks or form fills instead of buyers. We connect the ads to what happens after the click, so the bidding chases customers.

How Soon Will We Know If Ads Are Working?

Clicks start within days. Whether they turn into customers depends on your sales cycle, so we watch early signals weekly and judge the account on customers.
